Create “The Sacred Pine of Life” – Call for Participants
In Japan, pine trees have long been revered as sacred dwellings for deities.
For this reason, aged pine trees (ōmatsu) are painted on the back panels of Noh stages, which serve as offerings to the gods. Because pine remains green all year and never sheds its leaves, it is regarded as a symbol of vitality and good fortune.
Express the brilliance of life by designing your own sacred pine leaf — a symbol of divine blessing!
